This work forms part of the art project: PAESAGGIO DISEGNATO, dedicated to wine-growing regions – ‘cultural’ landscapes, as they are the result of human labour carried out in harmony with Nature.
The aim is to reflect on our profound relationship with Nature, of which we are a part; the bond between the land and the people who cultivate it. It is common to see elderly farmers so deeply attached to their land that they never wish to leave it; it seems as though some of them truly have ‘roots’.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to confront only the essential problems of life, to see if I could learn what it had to teach, and so that I might not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” H.D. Thoreau
